Polydactyl cats are simply irresistible to cat lovers due to their undeniable charm. Their distinctiveness lies in the presence of extra toes, which adds an endearing touch to their already adorable appearance. One such cat that embodies this appeal is Yeti, a delightful orange tabby with curly ears and an abundance of toes. Born in the month of April in 2021, Yeti still has some growing to do, but it is known that his breed tends to be on the larger side. These gentle giants are highly cherished by cat enthusiasts, thanks to their characteristic short tails, curly ears, and affectionate personalities. With such remarkable characteristics and an abundance of toes, it is certain that Yeti will easily captivate the hearts of all those who admire feline beauty.
The origins of the name “Yeti” can be traced back to the mythical creature known as the abominable snowman. This legendary being, often compared to Bigfoot due to their similar appearances and shaggy white fur, served as the inspiration for our adorable furry friend. Don’t be fooled by the intimidating name though, because Yeti is actually quite friendly and loves nothing more than to be snuggled. Besides being cuddly, he is remarkably intelligent and enjoys playing playful tricks on his human companions. Yeti’s home is also shared by a wise old tabby cat named Mac and a fascinating crested gecko named Sniper, whom he finds endlessly entertaining to watch in her enclosure.
What sets Yeti the cat apart from all the others? Firstly, he belongs to the distinctive Highland Lynx breed and boasts an impressive 23 toes, making him a polydactyl. Furthermore, his ears sport a unique curl, and his tail is surprisingly small in contrast to his weight of over 20 pounds. Despite his immense size, there’s no denying that Yeti is incredibly cute. I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to Kelly, Yeti’s owner, for graciously allowing me to share his story and photographs with the readers of Cattitude Daily. Be sure to follow Yeti on Instagram and witness more of this enchanting feline with an abundance of toes!
What does he like to do during his leisure time? Well, his pastimes consist of engaging with his playthings, dashing around the premises, observing the avian creatures and squirrels in the garden, and concluding the day with a tranquil sleep after a day filled with excitement.
